Summary:

The Manager, Global Business Systems owns the systems and the data standard the Enterprise Laboratory Instrument Services (ELIS) program runs on, across both regions. This seat is the single business subject matter expert on RenovoLive for the Life Sciences business and the owner of the asset and work order data model held inside it.

What you will do:

Systems ownership:

  • Own RenovoLive as the single business subject matter expert for the Life Sciences business, including what the program needs from it and whether a release delivers that.
  • Specify and validate system change on behalf of the program and sign off before a change reaches a site.
  • Own the relationship with the client master data change source and the extraction position for each system of record.
  • Lead system onboarding for new sites, including extraction enablement and migration where it arises.
  • Own the training position on the systems, so a coordinator or engineer is qualified on the platform before working independently in it.
  • Hold the platform roadmap conversation with the product team on behalf of the program rather than reacting to releases.

Data model and standard:

  • Own the asset and work order data model, including identifier, location, building and room, make, model, serial, ownership, service category, criticality and GxP status.
  • Set the record standard once and apply it across every system of record rather than allowing a variant per site or per region.
  • Own the reconciliation position across the systems of record and resolve conflicts to a single reporting truth.
  • Own data quality measurement, including accuracy at the point of work as a measured duty of the site team.
  • Own the asset record from arrival to disposal, so coverage is set at intake and closed out at disposal.
  • Run periodic reconciliation of the physical asset base against the system of record and close the gaps found.

Reporting:

  • Own program reporting so contractual key performance indicators are computed from one dataset without manual adjustment.
  • Provide the data behind the program forecast and the cost per asset position, and flag where an assumption no longer holds.
  • Support audits and entitlement reviews with accurate and traceable data across both regions.
  • Build and document the reporting models well enough that someone else can run them.

Team and coaching:

  • Lead the Master Data Analysts as one global function rather than site-resident seats.
  • Build coverage depth so no system of record or site dataset depends on one analyst.
  • Coach the site team on record accuracy at the point of work and close recurring error patterns at source rather than by correction.
  • Verify analysts are trained and qualified before working independently in a system of record.

Vendor management and safety:

  • Escort is a standing expectation of every role on this program, not a task assigned to a subset of the team. Anyone in this role escorts and hosts OEM and third-party engineers where the assignment requires it.
  • Maintain a safe working environment for self and others when on client sites.
  • Complete required safety and compliance training on time.

Qualifications:

  • Seven years or more in business systems, master data or asset data management, with deep hands-on experience of a computerised maintenance management system (CMMS) required.
  • Recognised as the expert on a service management platform, with a track record of specifying change and validating it before release.
  • Experience owning a data standard across more than one system of record.
  • Experience of asset lifecycle data from intake through to disposal.
  • Experience leading analysts or a small functional team required.
  • Experience in a pharmaceutical, biotechnology or research environment strongly preferred.
  • Experience of a data migration or system onboarding preferred.

Education/Special Training:

  • Bachelor's degree in a scientific, technical, business or information systems discipline preferred. Equivalent experience considered.
  • Training in laboratory safety, GxP and data integrity provided or required.
  • Platform and CMMS training provided after hire.
  • Training on any site-specific system of record used across the program provided after hire.

Required Competencies:

  • Platform Expertise - knows the platform better than anyone and is the person the business asks.
  • Standard Setting - sets the record standard once and holds it across systems and regions.
  • Scope Discipline - specifies and validates rather than configuring, and holds that line with Information Technology.
  • Data Discipline - treats record accuracy as an operating requirement, not paperwork.
  • Root Cause - closes recurring error patterns at source rather than by correction.
  • Coaching - develops the analysts and the site team on record accuracy and platform use.
  • Integrity - can admit mistakes, is direct and truthful, and acts in the best interest of clients, employees and Renovo.
  • Escort Readiness - treats escort as part of the job at every level, and does not decline it.

Success Measures:

  • Asset and work order record accuracy across every system of record
  • Reconciliation gaps found and closed per cycle
  • Single reporting position achieved across the systems of record
  • Contractual key performance indicators computed from one dataset without manual adjustment
  • Coverage and maintenance plan set at intake rather than after first failure
  • Retired assets closed out of coverage and the register
  • System change specified, validated and released without a site-level defect
  • Platform training completion and qualification currency across the program
  • New site extraction enabled to plan
  • Analyst qualification completion and coverage depth

Safety Requirements:

  • Abide by and follow Renovo safety policies, procedures, and injury and illness prevention expectations.
  • Maintain a safe working environment for self and others when visiting customer sites, laboratories, offices, or operational environments.
  • Follow applicable customer site safety requirements, OSHA guidelines, and laboratory or facility-specific procedures as required.
  • Complete required safety training assignments on time.

Physical Requirements:

  • Predominantly remote, office-based work.
  • When on assigned client sites, presence in active laboratory environments including areas with biological, chemical, electrical and cryogenic hazards.
  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment when on site.
  • Travel approximately 15 to 25 percent, covering system onboarding, data reviews and platform training at assigned sites.

Classification:

FLSA: Exempt
