HR Service Center Representative - Junior

Location: Framingham, MA

Onsite Flexibility: Remote

Contract Details

  • Position Type: Contract
  • Contract Duration: 6 months (with potential to extend and/or convert)
  • Pay Rate: $22.00 / Hour (USD)
  • Shift / Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM EST or 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM EST; 36.25 hours per week

Job Summary

The HR Service Representative serves as a primary resource for all U.S. and Puerto Rico Associates at all levels contacting HR Shared Services regarding Leaves of Absence. They will provide information regarding Company specific HR policies and/or procedures, while complying with company, State, and Federal guidelines. Inquiries and processing include, but are not limited to, time off needed for medical or personal reasons, pay during a leave including coordination with state disability and family leave, and potential job protection. This role will develop a working knowledge of HR policies and procedures through administrative processing and responding to inquiries, which are documented in the case management system. This group focuses on leave of absence, disability, and unemployment type of tasks.

Key Responsibilities

The majority of the workday will involve administrative processing tasks, such as managing leave of absence related emails, reviewing documentation, handling case management activities, and preparing and sending out documents. This role requires someone who is comfortable performing repetitive tasks and maintaining focus while completing detailed, routine work for extended periods. Complies with all company, state, city, and federal regulations including FMLA, state disability, family leave, ERISA and legislative Sick Policies. Utilizes policies, procedures, and internal resource materials to develop knowledge of all subjects handled by HR Shared Services. Performs accurate and timely administration of leave of absences, using dashboard reports to capture workload.

  • Previous HR experience is preferred (leave of absence, unemployment, etc.), or candidates who have a want to move into more of an HR type of position
  • Knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and systems

Education Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience (required)
  • Bachelor's degree (preferred)

Required Experience

Minimum 1–2 years of solid work experience OR related experience

Nice-to-Have Experience

Previous HR experience (leave of absence, unemployment, etc.)
