Job Location: Arizona Snowbowl - FLAGSTAFF, AZ 86002
Position Type: Part Time
Purpose of the position: The purpose of all Facilities Maintenance employees is to maintain the facilities, while sustaining a safe work environment. This position requires mechanical aptitude, and a curiosity to learn trade skills. A basic knowledge in one or more of the following is desirable: electrical, plumbing, construction.
Qualifications Essential Functions:
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
- Carry out basic facilities repairs: ie replace air filters, change lights, unclog toilets/light plumbing, paint, grounds maintenance, etc.
- Work in accordance with safety procedures, identify and report potential safety issues.
- Handing all aspects of trash removal.
- Snow removal from lodges, including roofs as needed.
- Maintain an enthusiastic and professional standard of guest services.
- Willingness to perform other tasks and duties as assigned.
Education / Training / License(s) / Certification(s) Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Current driver’s license.
- Safe driving record.
Competencies Required:
- A basic knowledge of Facilities Maintenance.
- Professional communication skills.
- Ability to work weekdays, weekends, and some holidays.
- Ability to solve problems and take direction.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Possess internal drive and motivation.
- Ability to work calmly under pressure and create a fun, professional work environment.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift and carry 50 lbs. without assistance.
- Must be able to lift arms overhead.
- Position involves bending, twisting, stooping repeatedly throughout the workday.
- Must be able to ascend and descend stairs and ladders without assistance.
- Must be able to walk from building to building and spend most of the day on your feet.
- Regular exposure to winter mountain conditions including snow, ice, wind, cold temperatures, and changing weather.
