Role Mission

As Deployment Strategist for Payors at Hippocratic AI, you will lead customer deployments that translate AI into measurable operational outcomes for health plans and payor organizations. You will work closely with customers to plan implementations, coordinate cross functional teams, drive adoption, and ensure each deployment delivers value in complex administrative, care management, and member facing workflows.

This role exists because successful deployment in payor environments requires more than strong execution alone. It requires someone who understands payor operations, can navigate complex stakeholder groups, can connect product capabilities to business and clinical priorities, and can guide organizations through implementation and change. You will serve as both a strategic partner and an execution lead, helping customers move from initial planning through launch and long term impact.

What You Will Accomplish

Own your first major outcome: By day 90, you will have supported or led your first major payor deployment through a successful implementation milestone, built strong working relationships with key customer stakeholders, identified operational risks and dependencies early, and contributed to deployment playbooks that improve consistency and speed across future implementations.

Drive lasting impact: At 12 months, you will have led multiple payor deployments across a range of customer environments and use cases, become a trusted partner to customer and internal teams, helped standardize implementation processes and operating rhythms, and directly contributed to faster time to value, stronger adoption, and more scalable delivery across the payor segment.

The Team

You’ll work alongside implementation managers, engineers, product managers, customer success partners, and clinical experts, partnering closely with customers while staying deeply connected to internal cross functional teams. You’ll operate with significant ownership, balancing strategic customer guidance with detailed execution. This is a team that values customer obsession, operational rigor, clarity, and practical problem solving in real healthcare environments.

What You'll Do

  • Lead deployment planning and execution for payor customers, ensuring clear timelines, ownership, milestones, and successful implementation outcomes
  • Partner with customer stakeholders to understand business priorities, operational workflows, compliance considerations, and implementation constraints, then translate them into actionable deployment plans
  • Coordinate across deployment, product, engineering, and customer facing teams to keep implementations aligned and moving forward
  • Drive implementation readiness, including stakeholder alignment, rollout sequencing, training plans, risk tracking, and launch preparation
  • Identify blockers early and proactively resolve issues that could affect go live timelines, member experience, internal operations, or customer outcomes
  • Help customers navigate rollout and adoption by setting expectations, building trust, and guiding them through organizational change
  • Capture learnings from deployments and turn them into repeatable playbooks, templates, and best practices that improve future implementations
  • Use deployment insights to inform internal product and process improvements, helping the organization deliver more effectively at scale

Location Requirement

This is a United States-based role open to candidates across multiple markets. We welcome applications from candidates located throughout the U.S. Specific placement, travel expectations, and regional alignment will be determined during the hiring process based on customer proximity, deployment portfolio needs, and your location. You should expect regular travel, typically 25 to 40% depending on deployment schedule, for on site implementation support, customer meetings, training, and go live activities.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience in deployment, implementation, customer success, strategic operations, consulting, or a related customer facing role, ideally with enterprise or healthcare customers
  • Strong understanding of payor-side healthcare workflows, operations, and organizational dynamics, either through direct experience in health plans or through customer facing implementation work in payor environments
  • Proven ability to manage complex customer engagements with multiple stakeholders across operations, clinical programs, IT, compliance, and executive functions
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate between customer goals, operational realities, and internal execution plans
  • Strong project leadership and problem solving skills, especially in fast moving environments where priorities evolve and ambiguity is common
  • Track record of driving execution across cross functional teams and maintaining momentum through complex implementations
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with operational follow through, ensuring plans convert into measurable outcomes

Preferred Qualifications

  • Direct experience working with health plans, managed care organizations, payors, or adjacent healthcare organizations
  • Familiarity with payor implementation challenges such as care management workflows, utilization management, member engagement, operational change management, and cross functional coordination
  • Experience building or improving repeatable deployment processes, playbooks, and delivery frameworks across multiple customer environments
  • Comfort serving as a trusted advisor to customers while also handling detailed execution work
  • Experience with AI, digital health, member operations tools, care navigation, or other technology deployments in healthcare settings
  • Familiarity with healthcare compliance and operational requirements relevant to payor environments, including HIPAA and related data handling considerations

Why This Role

This role is an opportunity to help define how breakthrough AI becomes real, trusted, and effective in payor organizations. You will work at the intersection of customer partnership, operational execution, and healthcare transformation, helping ensure deployments succeed not just technically, but in the day to day workflows that shape member, clinical, and operational outcomes.
