The role:
As a Operational IT Service Manager, you will help drive our goals by:
- Leading the delivery, governance and continuous improvement of IT services across multiple JM locations and business areas.
- Managing and developing Operational IT Service Managers and support teams to build consistent, high-performing service delivery.
- Building trusted relationships with senior business stakeholders and acting as the primary escalation point for critical service issues.
- Driving service improvement programmes that strengthen customer experience, operational resilience, service quality and business value.
- Overseeing service transition for major projects to support the effective introduction of new technologies and services into production.
- Managing supplier performance, service governance, compliance and operational budgets against agreed outcomes.
Key skills that will help you succeed in this role:
- Significant experience in IT service management roles, leading service delivery and operations within a complex global organisation.
- Experience working in an ITIL-structured support organisation, with a strong understanding of service management practices, governance, risk and compliance.
- Practical experience using IT Service Desk and Service Management system tools to manage performance, incidents, requests and service reporting.
- Proven people leadership skills, including coaching, mentoring and developing high-performing teams.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders and manage third-party suppliers, contracts, KPIs and SLAs.
- Strong financial, planning and organisational skills, combined with a customer-focused approach to service delivery.
