Job Description:

Hitachi Rail is looking for an enthusiastic self-motivated Testing and Commissioning Engineer who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The position is based in Brisbane, Australia.

Key responsibilities:

  • Participating in the testing, commissioning and integration of a complex ETCS system comprising of wayside signalling, on-board, communications and control systems in accordance with the test specifications and procedures;
  • Assisting factory and site testing as required;
  • Assisting fault identification during set to work activities and during commissioning;
  • Assisting in pre-testing, set-to-work, and end-to-end integration of signalling equipment;
  • Assisting in the loading and verification of software;
  • Ensure that the test and commissioning activities are executed in alignment with the Work, Health and Safety requirements of the company and the project.

Skills & Experience:

Bachelor's degree in engineering (recent graduate) or similar field or Electrical Trade qualification. IRSE Assistant Testers License is essential. The candidate also needs to be willing to travel as required by the project.
