The Opportunity
This role is a unique opportunity to step into the heart of a dynamic Marketing team during a period of transformation, bringing together multiple business groups under a unified governance and communications framework. As Marketing Operations Manager, you'll drive the processes, controls and operational excellence that enable high-quality customer and partner communications, while ensuring strong governance, compliance and stakeholder alignment. Operating at the intersection of marketing, finance, risk, procurement and leadership, you'll be the central force connecting strategy to execution and helping the business deliver meaningful outcomes at scale.
On a 6-month fixed-term contract, you will manage a team of five and take ownership of communication governance, marketing operations, budgets, supplier management and reporting, while leading initiatives that improve efficiency, visibility and team performance. This is a broad and influential role that requires exceptional project management, organisational and stakeholder engagement skills, with the confidence to facilitate discussions, navigate competing priorities and implement processes across a complex and regulated environment. You'll oversee supplier onboarding and contracts, manage marketing budgets and forecasting, coordinate governance controls, and drive continuous improvement across workflows, systems and ways of working.
We're seeking an experienced Marketing Operations Manager or operational leader with a strong background in marketing, business operations or project management within a complex organisation. You are commercially savvy, highly organised and process-driven, with the ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution. How will you make an impact?
- Lead customer and partner communications production and approval process across multiple teams, ensuring partner communications are delivered efficiently, consistently and in line with compliance requirements.
- Drive the integration of processes, controls and ways of working across a complex stakeholder environment, bringing structure and clarity to how work is governed and delivered.
- Own marketing operational workflows, capacity planning and prioritisation, improving team efficiency, visibility and delivery outcomes.
- Manage marketing budgets, forecasting and financial reporting, partnering with Finance to drive strong financial discipline and accountability.
- Oversee supplier relationships, contracts and procurement processes, ensuring vendors are effectively onboarded, managed and delivering against expectations.
- Build and embed fit-for-purpose processes, governance frameworks and risk controls that support operational excellence and continuous improvement.
- Partner with stakeholders across Marketing, Finance, Risk, Legal, Procurement and senior leadership to influence decisions, solve problems and deliver business-critical initiatives.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate the following:
- Experience as a Marketing Operations Manager, or in a similar operations, governance or project management role within a marketing environment.
- Proven experience operating within a complex and/or regulated environment, with an understanding of governance, compliance and risk management practices.
- Demonstrated success improving operational processes, workflows and team effectiveness through structured planning and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Strong commercial and financial acumen, including experience managing budgets, forecasting, reporting and financial governance.
- Experience managing external suppliers, contracts and procurement processes, ensuring strong commercial outcomes and service delivery.
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across multiple business functions and seniority levels.
- Strong project management, planning and organisational capabilities, with the ability to coordinate competing priorities and deliver outcomes in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated success improving operational processes, workflows and team effectiveness through technology, reporting and continuous improvement initiatives.
- A pragmatic, solutions-focused approach, with the ability to bring structure, clarity and accountability to complex business challenges.
