Position Overview

Crown Point Technologies is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to support the development and deployment of an advanced software capability for a U.S. Intelligence Community customer. This position will focus primarily on software development, application integration, web technologies, APIs, and deployment of modern software capabilities within a classified environment. The engineer will work as part of a multidisciplinary team alongside AI/ML engineers, knowledge engineers, data engineers, DevOps engineers, cybersecurity personnel, product vendors, and government stakeholders. The work supports a mission-focused, space-based software capability and provides an opportunity to build and integrate modern applications using commercial and open-source technologies. Candidates do not need experience with every technology listed below. We are looking for strong software engineers who can learn new technologies quickly and contribute across multiple layers of an application architecture.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, integrate, test, and deploy software capabilities supporting an Intelligence Community customer.
  • Develop backend services, APIs, microservices, and application integrations.
  • Build software connectors and interfaces between enterprise, engineering, mission, and commercial software platforms.
  • Develop data-processing and transformation capabilities supporting structured and unstructured data.
  • Develop modern web applications and user interfaces.
  • Configure and extend commercial software platforms used within the solution.
  • Support API-driven and event-driven application architectures.
  • Integrate software applications with knowledge graph, AI/ML, and data platforms.
  • Develop containerized applications using Docker and related technologies.
  • Support CI/CD pipelines and automated software deployment.
  • Troubleshoot issues spanning application software, APIs, data, infrastructure, security, and third-party platforms.
  • Support deployment and operation of applications within classified or disconnected computing environments.
  • Collaborate directly with customer personnel, vendors, cybersecurity teams, infrastructure teams, and other engineers.
  • Rapidly prototype new software capabilities in response to emerging mission requirements.

Qualifications

  • Active Top Secret U.S. Government security clearance required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Significant professional experience in software engineering, application development, systems integration, or a related technical field.
  • Ability to learn unfamiliar technologies and software platforms quickly.
  • Strong software troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively across application, data, infrastructure, and security teams.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively with engineers, architects, program leadership, vendors, and government customers.
