.net engineer / architect

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer to lead the design, development, and implementation of scalable cloud-based software and data solutions. This individual will serve as a technical leader responsible for architecting enterprise-grade applications and data platforms leveraging Microsoft Azure, .NET technologies, Python/PySpark, and Microsoft Fabric.

The ideal candidate has strong experience in software engineering, cloud architecture, and data engineering, with extensive experience delivering secure, high-performance solutions in Azure environments. This role requires both strategic architecture expertise and hands-on development capabilities.

• Design and implement secure, scalable cloud-native solutions on Microsoft Azure.
• Develop backend services, APIs, and enterprise applications using .NET technologies.
• Build and optimize large-scale data pipelines utilizing Python, PySpark, and Microsoft Fabric.
• Gather technical requirements and translate business needs into scalable software solutions.
• Lead architecture discussions and technical design reviews.
• Implement Azure-based integrations leveraging Functions, App Services, Azure SQL, Blob Storage, and Key Vault.
• Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines through Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions.
• Monitor application performance and optimize data processing workflows.
• Mentor developers and provide technical leadership across engineering teams.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, product owners, and business leaders on strategic initiatives.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Warrenville, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $70.00 - $80.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
