Field Learning is responsible for building new capabilities critical to our firm's strategy at speed and scale, ensuring our 50,000 home-office associates and branch team members are reskilled and upskilled to deliver on our commitment to serving more clients, more completely through a purpose-driven, holistic financial experience. The Learning Experience Designer I is responsible for the design, development, and delivery of multi-modal high-performance learning experiences that build learner capabilities, drive behavior change, and result in needed performance results. In this role, you will enable a culture of continuous learning through human-centered learning and performance design.

What You Will Do

  • Facilitate engaging learning experiences through virtual and in-person training, workshops, and peer-led learning sessions.
  • Partner with business leaders, stakeholders, and Learning & Development teams to design, develop, and deliver learning solutions that drive business results.
  • Apply Practice Management expertise and an understanding of branch team dynamics to create learning experiences that support Proven Practices and improve performance.
  • Design innovative, learner-centered solutions using research, collaboration, prototyping, and emerging technologies, including AI, to drive capability building and behavioral change.
  • Develop multi-modal learning experiences that encourage adoption and enable learners to apply new skills in meaningful, performance-focused ways.
  • Monitor learning effectiveness using feedback, insights, and performance data to continuously improve learning solutions.
  • Lead collaborative design and validation sessions to ensure high-quality, scalable learning experiences.
  • Stay current on industry trends, learning best practices, and evolving field needs to enhance learning strategies and outcomes.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Organizational Psychology, Human Capital Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3+ years of experience designing, developing, and delivering learning and performance solutions that drive business outcomes.
  • Strong facilitation and presentation skills with the ability to adapt learning experiences for diverse audiences.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including experience facilitating virtual learning.
  • Proven ability to collaborate and influence stakeholders across teams and levels of the organization.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with experience applying systems thinking, root cause analysis, and performance consulting methodologies.
  • Ability to explain complex concepts in a clear, engaging, and learner-centered manner.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of the Financial Services industry.
  • SIE, Series 7, and Series 66 licenses (or the ability to obtain within one year of assuming the role).
  • Experience presenting to senior leaders and executive audiences.
  • Experience leveraging emerging learning technologies and innovative learning design approaches.

Candidates that live within a commutable distance from our Tempe, AZ and St. Louis, MO home office locations are expected to work in the office four days per week.

Salary Information

Edward Jones' compensation and benefits package includes medical and prescription drug, dental, vision, voluntary benefits (such as accident, hospital indemnity, and critical illness), short- and long-term disability, basic life, and basic AD&D coverage. Short- and long-term disability, basic life, and basic AD&D coverage are provided at no cost to associates. Edward Jones offers a 401k retirement plan, and tax-advantaged accounts: health savings account, and flexible spending account. Edward Jones observes ten paid holidays and provides 15 days of vacation for new associates beginning on January 1 of each year, as well as sick time, personal days, and a paid day for volunteerism.
