Telecommunications technician iii

We are looking for a Telecommunications Technician III to support the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of telecommunications and physical network infrastructure within an international financial services environment. The role focuses on managing fibre optic and copper cabling systems, resolving connectivity issues, performing preventive maintenance, and supporting infrastructure installations and upgrades in accordance with telecommunications cabling standards. The technician will collaborate closely with network, data centre, and IT infrastructure teams, as well as external telecommunications providers and contractors, to ensure reliable connectivity, efficient incident resolution, and the continuous operation of critical telecommunications infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain and troubleshoot telecommunications infrastructure
• Support fibre optic and twisted-pair copper cabling
• Handle infrastructure incidents and support tickets
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs
• Support cabling installations and infrastructure changes
• Coordinate external vendors, contractors and telecom carriers
• Support telecommunications infrastructure design for office facilities
• Work with network, data centre and infrastructure teams
• Troubleshoot physical connectivity and cabling issues
• Support onsite infrastructure incidents and planned maintenance activities

Requirements

• Minimum 4 years of telecommunications infrastructure experience
• Strong hands-on experience with copper and twisted-pair cabling
• Practical knowledge of fibre optic infrastructure
• Experience installing, maintaining and troubleshooting cabling systems
• Understanding of telecommunications cabling standards
• Basic networking knowledge
• Experience working with telecom providers and contractors
• Experience handling infrastructure incidents and support tickets
• Ability to work independently onsite
• Good English communication skills
