The Role
Are you a part-qualified or recently qualified accountant looking to build your finance career within a global organisation? As a Financial Reporting Analyst within our European Regional Finance team, you'll support reporting, forecasting and finance activities across a diverse business operating in 16 countries and around 40 business units.
Working as part of a lean and highly experienced regional finance team, you'll gain exposure to financial reporting, consolidations, forecasting, business performance analysis and finance transformation initiatives. Unlike more specialised finance roles, you'll have the opportunity to contribute across a broad range of activities, giving you valuable insight into how a multinational finance function operates.
Supporting the monthly reporting cycle requires strong organisation, attention to detail and relationship-building skills. You'll work closely with finance teams across Europe to gather information, resolve queries and ensure key reporting deadlines are met, while identifying opportunities to streamline and improve the process over time.
You'll work closely with experienced finance leaders and colleagues across Europe, helping support the monthly reporting cycle while contributing to projects that improve how we report, analyse and use financial information. This role would suit someone who enjoys working with data, investigating issues, building relationships and finding better ways of doing things. It's an opportunity to develop a broad finance skillset and build a long-term career within Howden, Chart Industries and Baker Hughes.
About Us
Howden and Chart Industries are now part of Baker Hughes, a leading energy technology company serving customers across the energy and industrial sectors worldwide.
For more than 165 years, Howden has been at the forefront of engineering innovation, providing mission-critical air and gas handling solutions to industries around the world. Combined with Chart's leadership in process technologies and cryogenic equipment, we are helping customers tackle some of the world's most complex energy and industrial challenges.
Our European Regional Finance team provides financial leadership, reporting, analysis and governance across our extensive European operations. We work closely with business unit finance teams, senior regional leadership and global finance functions to provide accurate financial insight, support strategic decision making and ensure strong financial controls across the region.
As we integrate Chart, Howden and Baker Hughes, our finance teams are at the heart of shaping future processes, reporting structures and ways of working across a global organisation. This creates a unique opportunity to contribute to transformation initiatives while building broad international finance experience.
What You'll Gain
This role offers broad exposure to financial reporting, consolidations, stakeholder management and finance transformation activities within a large multinational organisation. You'll gain experience supporting reporting across multiple countries and business units, working with financial systems, reporting tools and data analytics to deliver accurate and timely information. You'll develop an understanding of forecasting and budgeting processes, SOX controls and governance frameworks, whilst building relationships with finance teams, senior leaders and cross-functional stakeholders across Europe.
You'll also have the opportunity to contribute to process improvement initiatives, reporting automation, Power BI development and broader integration activities associated with Baker Hughes. For the right individual, this role provides a strong platform to build experience across multiple finance disciplines and progress towards future Financial Accountant, Finance Manager and Financial Controller opportunities within the wider organisation.
