We're are currently seeking a Health Unit Coordinator for Inpatient Surgery. The Health Unit Coordinator performs a variety of clerical, coordinating and communication activities to support unit operations. Inpatient Surgery (IPS) is a 17 suite OR which performs Open Heart, Cardiothoracic, Neuro, Spine, Orthopedic, Bariatric, Robotic, Vascular, Gynecological and Urogynecologic as well as General Surgery procedures. Combinations of inpatient and outpatient procedures are performed on a mainly adult population and IPS averages 850 procedures monthly.

Qualifications

High school graduate or equivalent.
Prefer Health Unit Coordinator experience or experience in a related field
Knowledge of medical terminology and computer familiarity is preferred.
EHR experience preferred
Excellent customer service, oral and written communication skills
