Position Information

Position Overview

The Business Development Representative (Outbound) role has been created for the purpose of generating interest, developing leads, and increasing market share for HealthStream's solutions. In conjunction with sales leadership, marketing, and product management, the individual is responsible for generating, developing, and qualifying new leads for the sales organization through telephone, email and product launch campaigns.

Key Responsibilities

You will be responsible for adhering to all HealthStream security policies, procedures, and assigned training.
Work closely with HealthStream solution teams to develop a deep understanding of assigned solutions.
Become knowledgeable in the healthcare marketplace to understand your target audience.
Lead follow up, development and qualification of identified leads.
Demonstrate, propose, and present HealthStream solutions to key stakeholders when applicable.
Identify and Qualify Opportunities.
Contribute to the HealthStream Sales Community.
Leverage Personal and Professional Development Opportunities.
Value Added Member of Broader HealthStream Community.

Qualifications Requirements

Bachelor's degree in related area, BA or BS or related experience.
Excellent customer service and communication skills (both verbal and written).
Must have excellent communication skills and the ability to quickly develop relationships.
Prior BDR or sales experience is a plus.
Leadership qualities to serve as a team player.
High level of integrity and professionalism.

Compensation

This role features a base salary plus commission with a targeted split of 70% base / 30% variable. At quota, your On-Target Earnings (OTE) are comprised of the base salary and commissions, with the potential of additional uncapped earnings through bonuses and accelerators when exceeding performance targets (quota). The base salary range for this position is $40,492 - $45,500.
